Ugh.

I know all Winter long I was just dieing for it to be Summer...
But, now I just want it to be cold!
Dang It!

I want to wear long sleeves...
boots...
and leg warmers...

I want to drink hot chocolate...
and roast marshmallows...
maybe even hot dogs...

I want to see the leaves change...
and the snow fall...

I am defiantly in "Fall" mode
and this hot weather is not making me a happy momma.

5 Things Friday

It's that time of week again!
FRIDAY!!
So let's get started...

#1
Caramel Candy Corn.
Nathan was so excited to pick this up and I thought it sounded disgusting.
Believe it or not I ended up enjoying it.
It also smells delicious!

#2
Crock Pot Cooking.
I love cooking with my crock pot. Who wouldn't?
Throw your ingredients in and let it cook for 6+ hours.
Done!
The crock pot is a must cooking gadget in our house.
I also have a few yummy crock pot recipes I will share later on this week.

#3
Crisp, cool, morning walks.
Harlow and I try to go on a walk every morning.
It gets us out of the house and makes both of us in a better mood.
Now that the weather is a bit cooler in the  mornings it makes our walks even more enjoyable.

#4
Scarfs.
They are a huge Fall/Winter staple.
Love Them!
It takes a simple outfit to the next level and they are a budget friendly item.

#5
Freezer Paper Stencils.
If you are on Pinterest you probably know what this is.
If you are not, this is one of the simplest crafts.
There are many tutorials out there but here is a quick run down.
First off, freezer paper and wax paper are different things.
Yes, I googled it.
You draw your stencil on to the freezer paper and cut it out.
Then you use a hot iron to iron the stencil onto your shirt.
Not onto the shirt you are wearing. :)
Then gently dab on your fabric paint.
It's really as easy as that.
I can't wait to make some for Harlow!

All about Harlow

Happy Monday Everyone!

We have a busy day today but I have a few quiet minutes before nap time is over
and wanted to squeeze in a blog post.

We went and picked Harlow up from her Nana yesterday who has had her for the past week,
and we are defiantly trying to get back into our routine.
But that is a post for another day. :)
I just wanted to give a quick update on Harlow
and what she has been up to this past week.

Even though I was away from Harlow for a week I talked to my mom
at least twice a day if not more.
I wanted to know what Harlow was up to, and boy did she shock me.

Harlow learned how to say...
Grandpa
bubble
guppy
book
a,b,c,d
pumpkin
apple
up

Her favorite food is now macaroni and cheese and hamburgers.
The girl just can't get enough!!

She can blow raspberries on your arm.
And she tries to whistle.

She can climb on and off her riding toys.

She tries to put on her shoes and socks herself.
And would chase Brody (the dog) around by walking instead of crawling.

I still can't believe how much she learned in just a week!
Her little brain is just growing and soaking up more and more knowledge everyday.
She is amazing!

Nap time is over, I hear someone calling my name!
"Mommy" :)

5 Things Friday

I have seen this done on a few other blogs and loved the idea.
So, I have picked out 5 different things I am loving right now and want to share with you guys!

#1
Striped Tank Tops.
I am UH-B-SESSED!
I actually don't even own any...
But this one I found is only $4.50 at Forever 21.
Stripes are big this fall and pairing a long striped tank with some leggings and a cardigan.
 Sounds cozy to me!
And yes, I do wear my leggings as pants as long as the shirt goes past the booty!

#2
It is officially fall now and I can't stop thinking about pumpkins!
I blame it all on Pinterest.
Defiantly hitting up the craft store soon so I can make these beauties.
I LOVE them!

#3
In Texas Starbucks is a big deal.
There is one on EVERY  almost every corner.
At the beginning of fall every year they start serving the Pumpkin Spice Latte again.
And let me tell you... It is DELICIOUS.
It is Fall in liquid form.
I defiantly urge you to go and try a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Even if it is from your local gas station.
Or a recipe off the Internet.
Once you try it you know that the cool weather and holiday season is right around the corner.

#4
Continuing with the Fall theme and a little arts and crafts.
This next one is super easy and budget friendly.
All you need is a picture frame and some fall colored leaves.
Voila!

#5
Time to show off a little craft I made myself. Sorta.
Anyways...
I have been eyeing this lamp at Hobby Lobby for some time now.
It is a plain white lamp shade with hot pink ribbon tied into a bow.
Perfect for Harlow's room.
But...
It never seems to be on sale for lower then $25 and for something so simple I just can't justify spending that much on it.
Harlow already has a cute little lamp with a dusty white lamp shade in her room.
I've had this lamp for years!
Yesterday I stumbled upon a piece of ribbon in the closet.
And there you have it!!
The bow needs a little reshaping but I am pleased.
You guys probably think I am nuts.
The perfect girly lamp for my little girly girl.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

The final wedding post

WE DID IT!!

Finally!!!!!!! I am soooo happy to write this post!
I started this blog to document our journey to becoming Mr. and Mrs.
Married.
Husband and Wife.
Newlyweds.
Becoming our own FAMILY!

As most of my readers know we have a beautiful 1 year old daughter!
So us getting married was a pretty big deal to all of us.
We got engaged on July 28th, 2009.
We talked about wedding dates but nothing ever seemed to fit.
We found out we were expectant parents in February 2010.
Big Surprise... An even bigger Blessing.
2 weeks after Harlow was born I decided to go try on wedding dresses.
We had been engaged over a year, had a precious newborn, I was beyond ready to walk down the aisle.
As I stood in the dressing room with nearly 10 completely different white wedding dresses, I texted the fiance and told him to pick a date. (We had already picked the month)
So within a day I had picked the dress and Nathan had picked the date.
I thought wedding planning would be easy peasy.

WRONG!

Our wedding date was scheduled for one week shy of a year.
I was excited to start planning.
I was even more excited to start a blog about all the awesome ideas I had.
Ya...well...things turned around really QUICKLY.
Expenses started adding up FAST.
I had so many ideas I couldn't even make a decision.
I honestly came to a point where I got so stressed I didn't even want to talk about the wedding.
Terrible I know....
So little bloggy got abandoned.

My wonderful, awesome, best friend, and MOM took over everything!
We had friends that took all my decorating ideas and made them a reality.
I hired the most AMAZING photographer! Stacia Meek you are fabulous!
The food tasted great! Everyone should have a Mashed Potato Martini Bar.
Our cake!! Turned out better then the picture! Thank You Carey!!
My wonderful cousin stepped in last minute to DJ for us, when our original plan fell through. You are very much appreciated!
There are sooo many people I want to thank but...
1) They probably don't read my blog.
2)There were so many people that helped out,  this post would be 5 pages long.

If you are reading this and you did help out with our wedding. I just want you to know how much it means to us that you were a part of our big day. We couldn't have done it without you!!

THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!
THANK YOU!

And to those of you who showed up to support us and be there with us as we said our vows...

Here is to our Fairytale Happy Ending. :)

Thank You, Again! :)

THE END!
